The most rewarding part of being a dad for me is coming home after a long day at work and seeing my family in a bright environment and the kids run to hug me with big smiles. No matter how hard life gets their innocence and preserving their childhood makes it all worth it. Watching them grow and get older is sad because I wish they could be little forever but raising smart and respectful people is amazing because I know I’m doing my part to bring good people into the world.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because like many people around the world I wasn’t always in the best environments or a happy home as a child. With my children I have a chance to end that cycle and give my children a childhood where mom and dad love them and love each other, a home that feels safe and they feel heard. I give them the ability to be theirselves and not to feel judged or like they can’t do something. I hold their dreams close to my heart for their futures.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the 25,000 to pay off my credit cards($1500) my daughter will be able to participate in competitive cheer this year which I sadly had to tell her we can’t because it’s $700 and money is tight so she will have to stick with regular cheer. My son loves science and space. He would love to go space camps we have been researching. They could also use some more clothes for school and shoes. Especially football cleats. That amount of money would be a blessing to get us back ahead.
