The most rewarding part is watching my kids grow into their own people and knowing I get to be there for it. The big moments are great, but honestly it is the little things I value most. Being the person they can come to, laugh with, learn from, and count on means more to me than anything I could ever accomplish at work.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can because God gave me the responsibility of raising my kids, and they are watching how I live, not just listening to what I say. I want them to see what it means to work hard, love their family, keep their word, have faith in God, and be there when people need them. I will not always get it perfect, but I want my kids to always know that Dad showed up and never stopped trying.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to do something that benefits our whole family. I would put some of it toward projects around our home, set some aside for the kids, and use part of it to make a family memory we will talk about for years. With four kids, there is always something that needs done, but I would want the money to mean more than just buying stuff.
