The most rewarding part is when she hugs me. She's still a little too young to want daddy all the time. But when she comes walking over and hugs my legs or lays her head on my shoulder when I pick her up, those are the moments that I pause the world and let it last. These moments will be the past all too soon. I make the most of them as often as I can.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
There are always mistakes parents make when raising their kids. I love my dad and praise his successes as a father but also learn from the shortcomings. I want to raise my daughter giving her the attention, praise, and patience I sometimes didn't get growing up. I don't want to raise her spoiled or entitled. But I do want to raise a confident, godly young woman who knows her father loves her.
How would you use the $25,000?
It would be a blessing from God, so I would absolutely donate some to either my church or a non profit. I would certainly put some aside for my daughter's future. After that, we have a car payment and student loans I would pay a small amount toward. The rest would probably go to some much needed home/yard renovations.
