The most rewarding part about being a dad is watching your kids grow into their own person and knowing you had a hand in guiding them. It’s the little moments the laughs, hugs, talks and memories that mean the most. Being someone they can depend on, learn from and feel safe with is a blessing. Nothing compares to hearing “Dad” and knowing God trusted you with the responsibility of loving, protecting and raising them. There’s no rule book, You have to just be there every step of the way.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids deserve the best version of me. I want them to always know they are loved, protected, supported and never alone. I want to lead by example and give them memories, lessons and values they can carry for life. I won’t always get everything right, but I’ll always show up, keep learning and do my best to be the father God called me to be. I want to do right by them in his eyes because not equipping them without the tools of life is failing them.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to finish repairing my wife’s late mother’s home that she left to her. We’ve already invested our own money remodeling the inside, but the exterior still needs work. The funds would go toward necessary outside repairs, improving the home’s curb appeal, fixing any structural or maintenance issues and protecting the property from future damage. Our goal is to finish what we started and take care of the home her mother worked hard to leave behind for her and grandchildren.
