Getting to see my kids develop their own personalities, traits and interests is so much fun to watch. My daughter (Rory) is all girl. At 3 she’s already obsessed with dress-up, singing and dancing and pretending to be mom. My 1 year old son (Wilder) can only speak a few words but his wants and needs are heard LOUD and CLEAR. He makes “vrrrmm” noises while playing with his cars, and turns everything into a drum set. Seeing them smile, laugh, and loving life is the most rewarding part of every day
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My Dad is my biggest role model, and confidant. He always made sure to make me feel seen, heard, and validated. He let me fail, succeed, win, lose and whatever the outcome didn’t effect how he treated me. I was always loved and respected. My kids deserve the same and more. I intend to give them nothing less! If they ever need me to be a coach, friend, teacher, body guard, shoulder to cry on, or superhero, I’ll make sure I’m that for them.
How would you use the $25,000?
Down payment for a house. We rent currently, and make it work. But it’s hard to get ahead, even with two incomes in the household. (Kids are EXPENSIVE!) Our dream is to get a house in the county with a little bit of land so the kids can run and play with the dogs. The money would be a huge contribution to help us to get closer to buying our little slice of paradise!
