Watching my son grow into his own person while knowing I get to help shape the foundation he stands on. I work from home, so I get something a lot of fathers wish they had more of: time. I get to be there for the everyday moments, teach him things around the house, talk to him about money, responsibility, respect, and life. The most rewarding part is knowing he can look back one day and say, “My Papi was there.”
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my son deserves more than just someone who provides for him. He deserves a father who is present, teaches him, listens to him, protects him, and shows him by example what being a good man looks like. I know I won’t be perfect, but I want him to see consistency. I want him to know he can always come to me. Being his father is one of the biggest responsibilities and blessings in my life, and I never want to take that for granted.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to create more opportunities and security for my son. Part would go toward his future, education, and savings, and part would go toward experiences we can have together while he’s still young enough to make those memories with me. Money comes and goes, but I’d want the $25,000 to do two things: help put him in a better position later in life and give us more time and experiences together now.
