Watching them learn and grow through life’s challenges. Getting compliments in regards to how polite they are, especially during a sleep over and from the babysitter. It’s very fulfilling to see the best parts of 2 people that love each other, shine through to their children and future young adults. My favorite part is when they are just walking through the house and come up to give me a my wife a hug to just say, “I love you momma and dadda”. Melts my heart!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I feel that both my wife and I set the bar and example as to how we treat others. Our children look up to us EVERYDAY. To see us be vulnerable, and at the same time understanding to others without prejudice or judgement is, in my opinion, what a good natured human practices. I now at 38, have looked back at my upbringing and honor my father for part of the way I am today. I pray that one day, they feel the same way. My wife and I strive to be positive role models for them. Being kind is a choice
How would you use the $25,000?
I am a firm believer in you get what you give. There would be a donation made to a program that works towards the youth of America. I would have the rest get split between our boys and be invested. Both my wife and I would like to teach them financial responsibility from those who love them most. I feel that if they could see what’s being done for them out of the generosity of this contest, they would also take that opportunity as adults to be both generous and willing to help those in need.
