Being present for all the ups and downs is the most rewarding part of being a dad. I love watching my kids grow, discover who they are, and celebrate their victories. But knowing that when life gets hard, they have a safe place to come, a dad who will listen without judgment, and someone who will always stand beside them. That means more than the world to me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My childhood taught me a lot about the kind of father I wanted to become. When I became a dad, I knew I had the opportunity to give my children what I sometimes wished I had growing up. I want them to look back one day and say, “I want to be like Dad.” My responsibility is to love them, guide them, prepare them for life, and teach them to face its challenges with God on their side giving them strength, compassion, and a healthy heart.
How would you use the $25,000?
Assuming roughly $7000 for taxes, the remaining $18,000, I’d split it between security, family, experiences, and fun. I’d like to save $9000 for emergencies and the future, spend $4000 on a memorable trip or experience with my kids, set aside $2500 to help some family and community out, use $1500 for a baseball garage project for their training, $1000 on a home improvement, and keep $500 to spend however I want. The goal would be to make the money meaningful, not just spend it.
