The most rewarding part of being a dad for me, is being there for all the first times. From the first time my sons say daddy, or first time dancing, even using a toilet for the first time is just so awesome to see them achievements. My other favorite part of being a dad is coming home from work and seeing my boy waving smiling from the kitchen window. Then hearing his footsteps run through the house to the door yelling daddy! Followed by the biggest happiest hug, the best feeling as a father.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I've actually wanted to have kids for a long time, and since adulthood I've worked hard to prepare a future planning to have a large family. I want to give my children the most love filled fun childhood they can have. I want them to look at me as a example of what they can become in life. I strive to be the best father I can be along side as I try to be the best husband, son, brother etc. I hope as my kids mature they use memories of how dad would do it, when they are having any struggles.
How would you use the $25,000?
Firstly I would take $2,500 to give back to either children or fathers in my community. The rest of the money would likely go towards a house building project that my sons and wife will be a part of. We have a dream of building our own house on a beautiful hill and have already been working towards it for 4 years. They've been a part of the project since they were in the womb. We have pictures of mommy pregnant on the excavator. I'd love to live in a house built alongside my wife and children.
