I think showing my kids that it's okay to make mistakes and learn from them, and seeing them live that out is rewarding. I've done my best to give them life and character skills that make them work hard, care for others, and make the world a better place for everyone.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Money, status, fame... all of it means nothing if you aren't a good person. I want the absolute best for my kids, and I push them to do the hard things so they can grow in confidence, wisdom, empathy, and love for others. I'm not the wealthiest man in the world, but I can give them my love and time so they will be good people and parents one day if they choose.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would love to say I'd buy myself something nice and shiny (maybe I'll buy the bass guitar off of marketplace that I want to learn to play), but this has been quite the year with emergency surgeries and all the bills that go along, so I would clear all of that up and save the rest for a rainy day. I know that's not a sexy answer, but I'm a pretty practical guy and don't need a lot of "stuff."
