The most rewarding part about being a dad is watching my daughter and stepdaughter grow into their own people and being there through every stage of their lives. The little moments mean the most, whether I am making them laugh, helping them through something, or just spending time together. I have accomplished a lot in my life, but being someone they can always look up to, depend on, and feel loved by is what matters most to me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My dad and brother have been incredible father role models and have shown me the kind of dad I want to be. Through my own struggles with mental health, I have learned how important it is to have someone who believes in you, supports you, and never gives up on you. I strive to give my daughters that same love and stability. I want them to always know that no matter how hard life gets, their dad will be there, just like my dad and brother have always been there for their families.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 towards buying our first home and create a little more financial freedom for my family by paying off some important debt and taking some stress off our shoulders. I would also use part of it to take my family on a vacation together. For me, it would not be about spending money on things. It would be about creating stability for our future, making memories with my family, and giving my daughters experiences we will always be able to look back on together.
