The most rewarding part of being a dad is the moments when you know you made a difference. Like when they crawl into my arms just to fall asleep. Being able to provide for them and protect them. Those teachable moments like how to ride a bike, drive a car and cook a meal. Being there for those future moments like graduations and when they get married. Supporting them through their own accomplishments. Theses are the things for me that are most rewarding.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My kids are the most important thing to me. I know what it's like to grow up without a dad in the house. How that absence feels and what it can do to you. Although my mom was great I still missed not having a dad around and thank God for the male mentors I had in my life to teach me a few things along the way. I always told myself I would never let my kids go through that absence I felt as a kid. Being a dad is a God given responsibility I want to be a dad and a man that my kids can be proud of
How would you use the $25,000?
If I were to win the $25,000 prize, I would take $10,000 and put it in a investment account for my kids. Definitely take my wife out on a fancy date! Get caught up on a few bills. Make a few upgrades to camping trailer and spend next summer on family camping trips!
