The most rewarding part is getting to experience life through Dean’s eyes. Whether I’m picking him up from preschool, cheering him on at baseball, watching him learn jiu-jitsu, or riding motorcycles together, I get a front-row seat to the person he’s becoming. Nothing compares to hearing “Dad!” when he sees me or knowing that I’m his safe place. Being his dad has given my life a purpose bigger than myself.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because Dean deserves a dad who shows up—not just when it’s easy, but every single day. I want him to grow up knowing he was loved, supported, protected, and always a priority. I work from home so I can pick him up from school, take him to his activities, and be present for the little moments that eventually become the big ones. More than anything, I want to raise a kind, confident man and give him an example worth following.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use the $25,000 to build a more secure future for Dean and create memories with him along the way. As a single dad rebuilding my life, it would help me establish a permanent home where he always knows he has a room, a bed, and a place that is his. I’d also set aside money for his education and experiences as he grows. Winning wouldn’t be about buying things—it would be about giving my son stability, opportunity, and memories we’ll carry for life.
