The most rewarding part is watching my kids become their own people—their personalities, passions, kindness, and confidence growing every day. I love being the person they run to for advice on practical/spiritual matters, or a laugh. Knowing that the little moments we share can help shape who they become is both humbling and incredibly meaningful. I love meeting people and they say "Oh, your Aiden/Jared/Levi's dad". To be know as the father of a child whom the community loves is the reward.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My kids deserve a dad who is present, dependable, and willing to keep growing alongside them. My father was not present in my life. I want my example to teach them how to love generously, handle challenges with courage, treat people with kindness, and admit when they’re wrong. I won’t always be perfect, but I want them to grow up never doubting that they were loved, supported, and worth showing up for. I won't always be here so I want to give them tools for life and beyond.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to give my family a real family vacation where I don't have to stress about every dollar spent. A financial stress free vacation is not something I have enjoyed much. Let's make memories while we can. I would pay down some debt and fix a few things around the house and of course a charitable donation.
