Knowing ill always have someone to care for and look after. Teaching them things as the grow into adults that traditional schooling doesnt cover. Watching them grow into intelligent adults with humor and charisma. Having a wife to lean on and use as back up when the world, or kids, want to push back. Maintaining a steady house hold and comfortable living environment where everyone can be themselves. What isn't there to be grateful for when your kids are healthy and your wife is hot?
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Its our ethereal destiny once we have children to protect and provide the best we can for our family. To not try to be the best dad i can would feel unnatural. There is also a real level of satisfaction knowing whatever the world throws at you, you can handle it for better or worse. I think what really makes the best dad isn't the man stuff but also appreciation for the insignificant and mundane. Without it the kids grow up and you dont notice cause the lawn mower broke. Enjoy the ride.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use it towards an addtion on our home to give my youngest daughter a larger room and my wife a master bathroom and soaking tub. My daughter asks me all the time when we will be able to rebuild her room and I really look forward to telling her a start date for the project.
