The most rewarding part of being a dad is watching my four children grow into the people they are meant to be. I treasure the big milestones, but just as much, I love the everyday moments—hiking, traveling, playing guitar, laughing together and having meaningful conversations. I’ve had an adventurous life, but sharing it with my kids has been my greatest adventure. Being the person they call for advice, encouragement or simply a listening ear is a privilege I never take for granted.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my children are my greatest responsibility, my greatest joy and my biggest reason to keep growing. Life has taught me to be adventurous, resilient and grateful for every day. I want my kids to understand that challenges are part of life, but they should never keep you from living it fully. I want to lead by example, support their dreams and always be the person they can call when they need advice, encouragement or someone to listen.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to create lasting memories and meaningful opportunities for my family. I’d love to take my wife and four children on an unforgettable adventure, exploring new places, hiking, traveling and experiencing other cultures together. As a former safari guide in South Africa, I know how powerful shared experiences can be. I’d also support my children’s goals and invest in our family’s future. The greatest gift would be more time, adventure and memories together.
