Watching my girls grow into their own people. There’s nothing better than seeing their personalities develop, watching them accomplish something they’re proud of, or being the person they come to when they need help. Being a dad has also made me grow in ways I never expected. At the end of the day, knowing they feel loved, protected and supported by me is probably the most rewarding thing I’ll ever experience.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my girls are watching, even when I don’t realize it. I want the way I work, treat people, handle problems and take care of our family to set an example for them. I know I won’t get everything right, but I want them to grow up knowing their dad was always present, always tried, and would do anything for them. If I can help raise them to be kind, confident, hardworking women, I’ll consider that a pretty successful life.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to create more security and opportunity for my family. As a small business owner, a portion would go toward equipment that would help me grow my company and provide for my family for years to come. I’d also set some aside for my daughters’ futures and use a little of it to take my wife and girls on a trip together. I work hard to build a better life for them, so I’d want winning this to benefit our family long after the excitement of the contest was over.
