There have been many rewarding parts during the last 10 years. They began in labor and delivery as I personally delivered my first born, and they have continued growing along with the kids. Currently seeing them push themselves with their education in our homeschool journey, watching them excel at hobbies I enjoy like disc golf and 3D printing, plus them wanting to include me in their dreams to be “YouTubers” with a Lego channel have been the biggest rewards to me recently.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I grew up with an absent dad and promised myself from a very young age that if I ever had kids, they would never feel the same pain I felt growing up. Once I became a dad, I quickly realized being an absent parent was never going to be a possibility and I made it my priority to give my kids all the knowledge, presence, and attention that I hadn’t had the opportunity to enjoy. Being the best dad I can let’s the little kid in me experience a real father-son bond, just from the adults perspective.
How would you use the $25,000?
Before anything a percentage would be used for charitable contributions. After that, purchasing materials for a long awaited deck rebuild would be the first thing. A portion would be used to invest in Lego sets for future videos on our channel to help with growth and giveaways to those in need. I would also treat myself and the little men to a celebratory dinner and night out since this competition wraps up 3 days before my birthday. The rest would be split and put into savings for my kids.
