Watching my kids grow into their own people is the best part. I love teaching them things, taking them on adventures, making them laugh, and being the person they come to when they need help. With six kids, life can be loud, messy and exhausting, but I wouldn’t trade it. At the end of the day, knowing they feel loved, safe and supported by me means more than anything I could accomplish for myself.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because my kids are watching more than they’re listening. I want them to see a dad who works hard, gets back up when life knocks him down, admits when he’s wrong and never quits on his family. I’ve made mistakes in my life, and becoming a father gave me a bigger reason to keep growing. I want my kids to grow up knowing that no matter what life throws at them, they can change, keep moving forward and build a life they’re proud of.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d use it to give my family something that’s hard to put a price on: more time together and a little breathing room. Raising six kids while working to build my own business means there’s always another bill, project or expense. I’d invest some into growing my business so I can provide more stability, take care of things our family has had to put off, and use a portion to take the kids on an adventure they’ll remember long after the money is gone.
