The most important part of being a dad is pouring into my kids, being present, listening, teaching, encouraging, and showing them they are loved. It also means being a true partner to my wife: seeing what needs to be done and doing it without being asked. I want my family to feel supported, secure, and cared for. My goal is to build a home where we all thrive together. I want my family to remember I was there whenever they needed me.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because I want each generation to be better than the one before it. That starts with me. I work to be present, lead by example, communicate openly, own my mistakes, and show my kids what hard work, kindness, responsibility, and love look like. I want to give them the tools, confidence, and support to become better versions of themselves. This doesn’t just mean at home with the ones we love. This applies to everyone they meet.
How would you use the $25,000?
If I had $25,000 to put toward my family, I’d start by making sure my kids and wife are taken care of. Setting aside college funds. I’d use it where it matters most helping with expenses, creating some financial breathing room, and putting some toward experiences we could enjoy together. I’d make sure there was something set aside for whatever my wife wants. Then I’d leave myself enough for a beer.
