The most rewarding part about being a dad is simply seeing how my kids have progressed from the time they were babies until now. I’m glad I get to be part of their life everyday. My dad wasn’t always part of my life as a kid when my parents got divorced, so I know how important it is to have a present dad. I still remember when they were so young and needed help with everything and now as they get into middle school years they are slowly being shaped into the young adults they will become.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
As moonlight is nothing but the reflection of the sun, children are a reflection of their parents upbringing. I want to set them up as best as possible for a great life. Life is hard sure, but with a dads love and protection, it can pad the hard times of life easier than doing it alone.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would finish building my families 3-6 month emergency fund to protect us if I ever lost my job to ensure financial security. The rest would go to my children’s 529 plan so they can attend college with minimal to no debt from student loans. I worked over a decade to pay off my loans and with inflation these days and prices rising all around, I don’t want my kids to have to learn that hard lesson that I did.
