Honestly, I think one of the most rewarding parts of being a dad is watching my kids become their own people. You get to see them go from needing you for everything to developing their own personality, sense of humor, talents, opinions, and dreams. And every once in a while, they’ll do something—something kind, brave, funny, or completely unexpected—and you realize, “I helped raise that person.” For the moments, the random conversations in the car, inside jokes, hugs you weren’t expecting.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
Because it’s not really about Being perfect is about being that person I know your kids can count on. I know at the end of the day I’m helping build their foundation.Confidence, kindness, resilience, responsibility, and how they treat others are influenced by what I help teach them. Maybe the biggest reason one day I want my kids to look back and know, without a doubt, that I loved them, believed in them, and was always there for them from the major accomplishments to the silent snuggles.
How would you use the $25,000?
I’d probably split it. Some towards financial security pay down high-interest debt and build an emergency fund. Some to help the kids chase a dream. sports, music, tools, education, or whatever they’re passionate about. Some towards a family experience. take the family on a trip they’ll talk about for years. That way the money doesn’t just disappear. It creates opportunity, stability and memories.
