The most rewarding part about being a dad is watching my kids grow into the people they are becoming and knowing that I have the opportunity to guide, protect, and support them along the way. Being a dad has taught me that the biggest moments aren’t always the ones that seem important at the time. Sometimes it’s a simple hug, hearing “Dad,” answering a million questions, playing together, or watching them accomplish something for the 1st time. Those moments remind me how lucky I am to be a dad!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because my kids are my greatest responsibility and my greatest blessing. I want to lead by example, teach them to be kind, strong, and hardworking, and always be someone they can count on. My career as a firefighter has taught me to protect and serve others, but being a dad gives that purpose its deepest meaning. I want my kids to always know how much they are loved.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would use the $25,000 to create lasting memories and experiences with my kids and family. I’d put some toward a family vacation, save some for my children’s future, and use a portion to make our home and everyday life even better. Most importantly, I’d make sure the money becomes more than just a prize—it would become opportunities, memories, and moments together that my kids will remember for years to come.
