The random, I love you dad moments just melt my heart. But seeing these little versions of me growing, learning, failing and getting up again, the middle of the night calls to bed for snuggles, are just some of the joys I can think of while here at work. I've taken up my father in laws advice about writing these special moments down because you forget them as you age. And with both my parents having alheizmers, and my father's recent passing I try to do just that.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
My pops left me no excuse. He sacrificed and struggled to provided and give my siblings and i the life we had. Also, i need to set an example for my 2 girls of what a good god fearing man, husband and father looks like so they can have expectations in their future relationships. And then my son, I need to ensure and instill honor, courage, integrity and chivalry before he heads out into the world. The only way to do that for all my children is by example.
How would you use the $25,000?
I would love to take my family on a nice vacation. Fortunately, I am a married man and I know my wife would advise we either save it for the kids college or pay off existing debt. I can say, we all know where this conversation is heading.
