The most rewarding thing about a dad is seeing each of my kids different personalities and needs and seeing them grow into the amazing people they are becoming. To be able to guide them and to love them has been a lifelong desire I have prayed for, for the longest time. My wife and I didn't know if we were going to have kids and to be blessed with these three kids. I am blown away by the things they have overcome and are overcoming.
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best dad I can be because at the end of the day and 30 years from now I want them to look back whether I am still here or not and know that I truly loved them and would do anything for them. I'm far from perfect and make mistakes everyday but I work hard everyday and show up everyday because I want them to have that example for their spouse one day and for my son how he can build off my example and be an even better dad than I am.
How would you use the $25,000?
Our family has had to work through a ton of medical issues with my daughters health and has hit us hard financially. I would use the money to invest back into our house. I would make a special play room for the kids downstairs, update and make each bedroom special, and use any remaining funds to replacing our roof and doing some necessary Mx items that have been long overdue. If anything is left over I would use the funds to take a trip with my beautiful wife and kids to make some more memories.
