I feel most rewarded when my son shows compassion for others and curiosity. I am big on respect and understanding in our household as well as helping others in need. Seeing my son exhibit these qualities on his own just can't be beat. I also try and make every situation a teachable moment or an opportunity to learn something new. I love questions and he asks a lot of them that keep me on my toes. He's also an adrenaline junky like myself so any day we can we are out for adventure!
Why do you strive to be the best dad you can be?
I strive to be the best because my son deserves a father who is present, dependable, and always in his corner. I want to give him a childhood filled with love, adventure, confidence, and memories he will carry forever. More than anything, I want to raise a good man; someone who knows he is loved, treats others well, works hard, and never doubts his dad believes in him.
How would you use the $25,000?
We purchased 27 acres when we found out we had a baby on the way. Its honestly been a struggle maintaining the land and trying to incorporate homesteading into our family dynamic. We would use the money to build fences for livestock and a few other much needed improvements to our garden so we can get closer to reaching our goal of self sustainability.
